Workshop-1:Web3D & Immersive Web (The Web3D at VRCAI 2026)

We invite you to participate in the workshop on Web3D & Immersive Web, held in conjunction with VRCAI 2026.

Web3D 2026 explores how immersive 3D environments delivered and shared through the Web are transforming the future of digital interaction, and how recent advances in AI capabilities, embodied intelligent systems, and multimodal human interfaces are expanding what is possible in XR.

The goal is to foster cross-disciplinary dialogue that shapes the future of interactive Web technologies and the extended multiverse. We provide a leading platform for industry and academia to meet and share their latest applications, experiments, and evaluations.

Key Themes and Topics

Workshop Theme: Massive and Immersive WebVR/AR/XR.

We invite submissions across all sectors in which the 3D Web plays a transformative role, including education, healthcare, e-commerce, cultural heritage, digital tourism, entertainment, media, construction, robotics, urban computing, and emerging industrial metaverse applications. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):

Web3D Fundamentals

  • Lightweight 3D modeling
  • 3D mesh streaming
  • Fine-grained segmentation of building
  • Progressive transmission scheduling
  • Lightweight Web3D rendering and caching

AI & Intelligent Web3D

  • Generative AI for 3D web contents
  • Neural Rendering
  • 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) on the Web
  • Intelligent Interactions for WebVR/AR/XR

Industrial Metaverse

  • Web-based Digital Twins
  • WebBIM
  • WebCIM

VR Large Space

  • Key technologies of VR large space
  • Demonstrative applications of VR large space

Systems

  • WebXR
  • WebGPU
  • Web3D standards
  • Distributed VR/AR/MR

Workshop-X: More workshops are coming

In addition to the existing workshops, we will announce new workshops after the Call for Workshop proposals in July.
